Epsonkeeps updating the Epson WF 2760 driver. To get it, you need to go to the Epson support website, find the driver corresponding with your specific flavor of Windows version (for example, Windows 32 bit) and download the driver manually.

The only hiccup I ran into was a "paper source is invalid" message when trying to make copies. I had previously made copies onto plain paper, but now the menu listed only glossy and specialty media. I was unable to determine the conflicting setting, nor was Epson as of this writing. A reset of the copy settings resolved the issue.

The Epson's ADF is slow. Making a five-page black-and-white copy using the ADF took 1 minute, 27 seconds. By comparison, the Brother MFC-J985DW, which was slower at making single copies, made a five-page copy using its ADF in 1:08.

The WF-2760 is faster than most tested models at making a color copy. This Epson all-in-one made a color copy in 28.1 seconds, or 2.1 ppm. The Brother MFC-J985DW was quickest in this test, at 20.3 seconds (or 3 ppm). Interestingly, the WF-2760 picked up the pace when feeding color documents through the ADF, making five-page copies at 3.3 ppm. It made a two-sided color copy of a six-page document in 3:16.

The WF-2760 was 3 seconds faster than the 14.3-second average for inkjets at making black-and-white scans. It scanned at 300 dpi to PDF format in 11.3 seconds. The quickest model, the HP Envy 5540, took 9.7 seconds.

Similarly, scan quality was very good. However, when performing a quick scan without a preview, colors tended to look oversaturated and shadow areas lacked subtle details in both color and grayscale scans. This was easily remedied by performing a preview scan, which significantly improved the results.

The disc that comes with the WF-2760 has just a Windows driver and scanning software. Epson directs Mac users to go online and download the latest driver and software. You can fax from the WF-2760 using either the keypad or fax software for Windows and Mac. You can save up to 100 contacts and contact groups altogether.

P.S: Windows 10 is also using CUPS to connect to our Brother server. The problem is that I cannot find where their setup is. No one wants to answer this question on Windows 10 Forum. . . . More reading.

Think my days of distro hopping on Linux are over.

A.I. has finally put the hatch to my tryouts.

Took me a long while to find a driver (in Windows).

Tried everything and anything.

What i like so much about this 12+ year old printer?

@danielson I had the same problem with a monochrome HP printer a couple of years ago when I first installed Mint Mate. I could not get the printer to work. I also tried Ubuntu Mate and the same thing happened so I changed to Mint Cinnamon and it worked fine. A friend of mine suggested that the Mate may not have the drivers necessary for Brother. I have no issues at all with Cinnamon.

AirPrint is a technology built into most popular printer models, including those listed here. With AirPrint technology, it's easy to print full-quality photos and documents from your Apple device. AirPrint features include easy discovery, automatic media selection, and enterprise-class finishing options.

The printers, print servers, and USB-only devices listed here are provided by each manufacturer and updated regularly by Apple. If you don't see your model, check with the manufacturer for more information.

To use AirPrint, you don't need to install an app, additional drivers, or other software. Just connect the AirPrint printer to your Wi-Fi network, then choose it in the print dialog when you print from your Mac or print from your iPhone or iPad, for example.

Similar to AirPrint printers, these USB devices allow you to print or scan without having to install additional drivers. Because they require a USB connection, they support driverless printing or scanning only from Mac computers.
