Peter Link didn't get much response to the proposal to Nov 3 at Kodomo
Miraikan. Can we get some idea of people's opinions at
cooper...@gmail.com ? Is Nov 3 just not a good day? (I thought I
would not be able to make it that day but now that day is okay for
me.) We still haven't given up on finding a place at this late date
but in any case, please send me any and all opinions, at least for
future reference. I know some places out here in Shiga but I thought
that might be a little inconvenient.
We tried to get the Friend Peace House (aka Hawaii House) that we have
used in previous years but it requires some connection with Doushisha
U. If anyone is currently working there or is an Alumni, please tell
me, again at least for future reference.
Also, we are beginning to plan for Christmas at Kodomo no kuni.

This is an overnight event in western Shiga that requires reservations
in advance. (Please help with the planning if you can.) There are two
types of rooms: large rooms where small children and adults can sleep
on futon and smaller rooms with more privacy for older kids and
adults. We usually have crafts, games, potluck dessert/drinks, and
dinner and breakfast at the cafeteria. The indoor and outdoor
facilities are also fun for the kids to enjoy. As those of you who
have participated know, it's just as fun as Halloween. So, whether
you've come before or it's your first time, please come this year!
Nothing is set yet so now is a good time for input about dates (Dec 15
or 22) and also to let us know that you might be interested:
cooper...@gmail.com
The prices for rooms vary depending on whether or not you live in
Shiga, plus food and parking:

I'll send a list of prices in English as soon as I can.
