A dear friend of mine, Sunao, who was a Buddhist monk, recently died
of cancer (in his early 40s). His wife and mother had two kittens
which were also very ill at the same time as Sunao. They felt that
they should do all they could to keep the kittens alive as symbols of
Sunao' spirit. So they spent over ¥100,000 for veterinary bills and
the kittens became well, but Sunao didn't.
They all lived in a small temple but, because the master had died, a
new master had to take over. So Sunao's mother and wife have to move
out. His mother is moving to stay with another relative in Tokyo and
Himiko (his wife) is staying in a mansion in Kyoto but no pets are
allowed. So, they asked me if I knew of anyone who would like a very
well-cared for 3-month old kitten (there are two to choose from).
Please let me know if you are interested. We would take one but Kayo
has an allergy and we can't have any pets. If you would like to see
the kittens, I would be happy to pick you up and drive you there.
The temple is near Horikawa/Oike in Kyoto.
Thanks,
Arthur
