I'm a Kylo noob, but I still think it should be easier than this: I've download the Cloudera-based VirtualBox image for Kylo 0.10 and got it running fine. I was able to login and look at the preconfigured feeds, but almost nothing is working as it seems it should when I try to create a new feed. I've gone through the
Kylo Data Ingest Tutorial, but when I got to setting up the target (which I wanted to be a Hive table), it said to upload a sample file from the file system so Kylo could attempt to define the fields.
That part of the UI is no longer there. I understand the UI has been redesigned, but for the life of me I could not figure out where the relevant functionality moved. I thought perhaps it was the Hive entry in the Feed Manager->Catalog section, but that seems to only want to show me existing Hive tables.
So, my request: Can somebody pretty please give me the steps to create a new file-based feed of CSV data into a new Hive table, from start to finish, using the new Kylo v 0.10?
Thanks,
