I've enjoyed playing Warrior Knights, Dune, Rex, etc, but I also understand Fritters concern of thee games requiring multiple plays to really get into the strategy or even know what we're doing. So, with that is there one that y'all prefer over the other? Maybe someone who has played them all.  I mean sounds like we've got:

Dune
Rex
a Game of Thrones
Warrior Knights
and more

If it were up to me the group would select one of these titles and we'd play that one regularly for awhile. Like once a month for several months.

What say you?

We should simultaneously discuss when these games are going to be played so that people can know in advance if they are even going to be able to attend.

Kyle? South Austin? Alternating?

Start time? Thursdays? Saturdays?

I trust Matt's opinion of Game of Thrones, so I would push for that or Rex.

Never played Dune or Rex, but I also trust they would play well.

I played a short version of Spartacus at BGG. It was good, and I think what kept it from great was that the short game is really just the end game, requiring far less partnership/backstabbing. If we can locate a copy, I would love to add it to this list. Only plays four, though. Plus side is the rules are simple comparatively.

It is difficult for me to get up to Austin but it'd be fun to play in Kyle and Austin (depending on where). I can get to most places in Austin with enough warning though.

I just like playing whatever so i'm down for most things. Playing internet-based games for so long has created a void i must fill I suppose.

I'm fine win either Rex or AGoT. I'm also good with coming into Austin. Philippe's always seems like a good mid-way point.

You guys want to shoot for once a month 'epic' game. Maybe 6 months (= 6 sessions) of Rex followed by 6 months of AGoT? Something like that. At least it's narrowed down.

Also Thursday nights are best for me and am ready to book the Dec Thursday when you guys are.

I'm in for the 6 games of Rex at least. I can do the 6th or 20th in December. Philippe's would be fantastic.

Thursdays will be tough for me, but I can make it work. I will likely be leavin Austin in June or July, but would love to game a much as possible before. If we were to do a crusade, my vote would be AGoT first (since its my favorite).

Alright, let's shoot for the 6th. That's one decision down. Next two. Rex or AGoT? Kyle or Austin (who can host)?

I could host but philippe's would be a better compromise if he's interested. Haven't seen anything from him so far.

I know Rex pretty well, played it 4 times, but would do Thrones if Matt is in. I could pick one if needed, but want to hear from others first.

My vote is Thrones, and I can also host (South first just north of Ben White) but its a low table, meaning people are likely more comfy elsewhere (floor and couches).

How about we give everyone a shake? the 6th for Fritters, Nick's house, Matt chooses AGoT, I'll bring some snacks.

I'd also like to do a second game night in December (the 20th, Fritters?) but be more of a two-player game night. I need a wargame fix! Any interest?

I'm committed to December 6th at Nick's playing A Game of Thrones. We need 6 players I believe, right Matt? I could invite someone if we need more players.

Also I'm up for two player games on the 20th, possibly at Matt's or Philippe's, if we every hear from Philippe again ;)

6 is the best way to play, by far. 5 can work well if it came to it.
