I just finished my third full length novel. It is called The White Judas. I really like the characters: Fr. Michael Reilly is the priest from The Red Madonna. He is sent to Rome to do a doctorate. He meets a young Baptist woman from Minnesota, Emma Malka, who is a hoot, but also asks him what would happen if the powers of good and evil suddenly got much stronger. They do.

Abrahim Mukulu is Anglican, and a six-foot-eight African. In the course of a few weeks, he gains a world wide reputation as a worker of miracles.

Regina Alba and Brenin Gwyn of White Enterprises are altogether the opposite.

When the pope dies, a new conclave is called; the outcome of which is headed toward a schism just when unity is most needed. How Fr. Reilly should handle the threat when the shroud of secrecy is already in place is a problem, especially when he warned the previous pope exactly how a conclave could go wrong.

Through an unusual concurrence of events and people, Fr. Reilly ends up in the middle of a spiritual chess game not knowing which pieces are which or how they move. All he knows is that one of them is a traitor…

The forces of good and evil converge at the end of the book, suddenly, and, of course somewhat surprisingly.

Given the declining health of the Pope Francis, you might find the conclave described in The White Judas a nice refresher, especially if the next conclave is as intriguing as the one in this book.

The White Judas - The Divided Conclave is available from Amazon.

I think you will like it.

Mike
