This is an invitation to our community of gardeners from the Vermont Park Neighbourhood Garden, the Patchwork Community Gardens - Westmount & Northdale and the Downtown Kitchener Multicultural Plots!
It's that time of the year where the some of the leaves in your plots are drying up and your vegetables are ready to harvest. We hope that it's been a great gardening season for all. We would like to close our gardening season this Fall with a HARVEST PICNIC on Saturday, October 27th at 12 noon. We will be meeting at Ecole L' Harmonie, 158 Bridgeport E, Waterloo. This is a school in Waterloo and we will be meeting behind the school where the Vermont Park Neighborhood Garden is located.
We will have activities for the whole family, including face-painting and pumpkin curving for kids and some wonderful music by some of our fellow gardeners. We invite you to bring something from your garden or a dish from your home country to share. Feel free to invite your friends! See the poster bellow, I have also attached a PDF copy that you can share with others.
If you are coming from Kitchener by busy you can take Bus # 8 from Kitchener Downtown to Weber and Lincoln (it's a ten minute bus ride). Walk towards the apartment buildings on Lincoln and shortly to your right you will come to the back field of Ecole L'Harmonie where the garden is located.
