I just saw the post about the workday in the other announcement
group! I look forward to making it out on Thursday with Harvest.
Keith, I just read your message, and although I cannot speak on behalf
of the rest of the group, I would like to say - no worries! Working
hands are ALWAYS welcome when they are available, and I feel like
people are usually pretty understanding that people aren't always able
to make it out.
Peas and Lovage!
> My name is Keith. I originally made enquiries, RE: Community Gardens/Gardening, to those set up to receive + answer such concerning the site at Lippert Park, Kitchener (Weber and Louisa area). My main goal was to acquire the use of a Plot with in their Garden, as this particular set-up rents individual plots out for the season at $10 I believe, however I had no luck w/ this (eventually, near 2 months later to be a little more expressive about it, being told that they had no plots available for this season). This Garden was ideal because it is my Daughter (6 yrs' old) and I that wish to partake in such this season and our situation at this time is that we are (only) together a couple days through out the Week and every other Weekend, and also my (our) place is just around the corner from there on Ellis Ave', as such we could come and go according to our schedule and had the added bonus of its convenient location/proximity. W/ additional enquiries made in hopes of finding another appropriate and available opportunity we came to develop dialogue w/ Valerie who expressed the idea that my Daughter and I were more than welcome to join in the efforts and comradery down at the Campus Garden. This may come as a surprise to You but I gladly accepted the invite and spoke of our intent to attend and lend our hands to the efforts. Needless to say we have not made it down once since the first Sat' get together and this is where the point of this email begins to 'sprout'. Basically I just wanted to apologize for our absence and anything which may have become much more (or even a little more) arduous as a result. With our only being able to make it (together) every other Weekend (and not knowing that weekdays/evenings saw help necessary as well, during which we could contribute with our presence and efforts) I've been continuing in our search for something a little more suited to us and I (it is 'We', but in as far as these decisions to not show are concerned it is only 'I') kinda figured that the invitation had been revoked by now. Through continuing to receive these emails though I wonder if we may be welcomed still, and if such is the case may we be seen and thought of to make a positive and worthy contribution coming only every other Weekend (multiple times each + every Wknd' if nec') and off setting this by coming every Wed' through out the Week (and/or Thursdays in the Morn' or early Afternoons). If the general idea may be that you are able to get along just fine without us (considering our absence thus far) it would be totally understood and we Thank You none the less. However if we may work it out so that we could arrive and take part when available (as indicated above) I assure You of our future presence and Thank You (w/ much more emphasis ). I look forward to your response(s).
