Greetings everyone, I am writing to inform you of a KWCS event:
The G20 Circus: the Criminalization of Dissent in the Age of Austerity
When: Wednesday November 16, 2011
Where: 1E1, Arts Wing, Wilfrid Laurier University
Time: 7:00pm-9:00pm
Around the world people are organizing! Join the post-G20 Kitchener-Waterloo Community Support group for an information session on the legal and political fallout from the June 2010 G20 Summit in Toronto, Ontario, and the effects on the activist community in KW. We will talk about the organizing efforts against the G20 Summit, what happened in Toronto, and the criminalization of dissent that has resulted from effective community organizing around Canada.
If you are interested in what happened in Toronto in June 2010 and why we are still talking about it, this event is for you!
