Dear friends,

 

We are please to invite you for Kavi Samelan and Dialogue on Bt Brinjal and MNC aggression on our Food security, agriculture heritage, Health and Ecology.

 Programme shall be presided over by presidium of Eminent Punjabi poet Dr Surjit Patar, Playwright Prof Atamjeet , Nirupama Dutt , Sidhu Damdami and Punam Singh Preetlari

Eminent poets, playwrights, literary personalities have confirmed their participation in this novel event.

This is part of our effort to ensure that our food chain is not taken over and controlled by profit-hungry corporations like Monsanto, Mahyco and others, with the onslaught of technologies like GM seeds and to uphold our right to safe food, our right to food choices and our right to know what we are eating.

 

As a first step, come let us save the humble brinjal in all its diversity, as we have always known it and enjoyed it, from Bt Brinjal. Eminent poets, writers and columnists will be converging in this Kavi Sammelan to express their views and concerns as eminent citizens of Punjabi society and please do join in....
