Subject: SeeAbility - MPs and Peers to hear about the eye health needs of people with learning disabilities

‘MPs and Peers to hear about the eye health needs of people with learning disabilities’.

I am contacting you about the above event to be held on January 19 2010 at 1.00pm at Parliament.

This is a unique opportunity for people with learning disabilities with their supporters, health, learning disability and eye care professionals to inform Peers and MPs about eye health and eye care services for people with learning disabilities.

We are keen for you to contribute to this event and we invite you to share with us your views and experience of eye health service for people with learning disabilities – good or bad. You can log onto www.seeability.org/listen  to record your interest and share your knowledge and experience.

Please see the attached press release for more details about how to register your interest in this event or you can call me for more information on 07554456330. We can provide evidence in a variety of formats so do not hesitate to contact me to discuss this.

The event is being hosted by SeeAbility, Mencap, RNIB and the Eye Health Alliance and supported by the All Party Parliamentary Group for Eye Health & Visual Impairment and the All Party Parliamentary Group for Learning Disabilities.

Your input is vital and greatly appreciated.

Please forward this email onto anyone who you feel may be interested in contributing.

Many thanks
