Dear President / General Secretary,

Bharatheeya Sangeetha Sabha( BASS), Kuwait is a non profitable, non-political and social cultural organization registered with Indian Embassy (Registration No. Indemb/kwt/assn/284) and constituted with the aim of promoting Indian traditional music by conducting various musical concert, workshops , etc in all over Kuwait. For the last 5 years more than 50 stage shows were we conducted, which was highly appreciated by music lovers in Kuwait.

 

Bharatheeya Sangeetha Sabha (BASS) organizing Mega Music Competition in Carnatic Music & Semi Classical Music (Film Songs) 'BASS FEST 2019', first time in Kuwait with exceptionally professional judging panel. Shri. Sharreth (Film Composer, Music Director & Playback Singer is our Chief Guest and Head of Judging Panel.  Applications can be submitted either through online using the below link.

Auditions on Thursday 11th & Saturday 13th of April 2019 at United Indian School, Abbasiya ( Time will inform each participant 3 days before the Audition) 

Grand Finale on Friday 19th April 2019 at Indian Community School (Senior), Salmiya. Along with illustrious performance of Shri. Sharreth & renowned instrument artists team from India.

 

We are looking for a great support from you, by the way of  reaching this information to all your students in (Class V-XII) and also please make it sure that they all are submitting their application on or before 5^th  April 2019.

 

Rules and Regulations:

1. Applicant is eligible to conduct only one category either Carnatic or Semi-Classical Music competition.
2. Participants are required to report to the registration counter at least 30 minutes before the competition begins.
3. Participants should bring the Sruthi Box for Carnatic music competition.
4. Maximum duration is 10 minutes for the Carnatic Music and 5 minutes for the Semi-Classical Music. Progressive negative mark (5% deduction from total for each exceeding minute) will be applicable.
5. Participants should make own arrangements for transportation, food, water, etc.
6. Civil ID will be considered as proof of date of birth. Student badge to be produced on audition day
7. Evaluation of Judges shall not be questioned under any circumstances.
8. No complaints shall be entertained regarding anything pertaining to the competition.
9. Program Committee may revise the rules and regulations, if necessary. In such cases, the same will be published well in advance.
10. Program committee reserves the right to cancel the event in case of any unforeseen circumstances. In such cases, the registration fee will be returned to the contestant.
11. The judgement panel will allocate the marks based on the criteria set out herein below:
• Carnatic Music: Sruthi, Talam, Layalam, Ragabhavam and overall presentation
• Semi-Classical Songs: Sruthi, Rhythm, Bhavam, Lyric clarity and overall presentation
12. Audition will be held on Thursday 11th & Saturday 13th April 2019 at United Indian School, Abbasiya and Finale on Friday 19th April, 2019 at ICSK (Senior) Auditorium, Salmiya.

Registration Details

1. Registration fee of KD 3/- shall be paid along with application form or at the registration desk on 11th & 13th April 2019. Registration fee is not refundable.
2. Chest number will be issued from the registration counter on the audition day.
