to kustomizer
As we're hoping to see OM 2009.x released soon, I'd like to start the
discussion of what we want..

ONE RUN, TWO STAGES
I think it's good that the user has the possibility to choose if only
the most important tweaks/configs are installed (2008: qpe bug,
gsmhandset.state etc) or also the applications.
In 2008.12 the qpe bug has forced us to restart the phone in between
which I don't like, but having 300 000 OSM png files forces to either
kill qpe (resulting a nasty error message) or fixing the bug &
restart.
In 2009 I hope we will not have the qpe problem anymore so we could do
it all in one run. However to maintain the two stage thinking it's
possible to add a 5sec sleep somewhere where the user can CTRL+C to
abort after the 1st stage is finished.

SELECTING WHAT APPS TO INSTALL vs. SILENT INSTALLATION
As I pointed out here:
http://groups.google.com/group/kustomizer/msg/94906ccf98e7509d I'd
like to be able to run Kustomizer with no questions asked and I'd like
to make this possible for newcomers, too but if someone feels like
writing the possibility to select the packages to install, feel free.

WHAT APPS TO INSTALL?
For 2009 I'd like to start from scratch with the apps to be installed.
I guess the main sources are opkg.org and it's broken repository and
the default repositories. Should we install one package/line like
opkg install openttd
opkg install numptyphysics
to make sure that if one fails (failing installation will be something
we still have to live with, I guess.. ). This would make it easier to
see what lib is installed and for what app but makes it slower to go
through the package databases for each installation.

Comments/ideas?
