Hello I am very new to using Kurviger and so far I love it, however I have a couple of questions.

1. I am using Kurviger to plan routes for my Garmin, I do this by exporting and importing GPX files between the Basecamp and Kurviger. When importing GPX files back into Kurviger, is there any way to hide the waypoint markers, because I find that they often completely obscure the actual route? The ideal situation would be to show the explicitly named Way points with their original names and hide the automatically generated  ones.
In Basecamp it is possible to do this by either importing the routes as tracks from Kurviger or selecting the imported waypoints and setting them so that they don't announce. I am not sure what that ends up as being in the GPX file, maybe it is a Garmin extension?

2. When I plan a complete trip, I break the routes up into individual days. Is there any way of importing and displaying more than one route together, so that I can share the whole trip with my buddies via Kurviger?

Thanks for excellent planner

On the second point I just tried merging five Garmin GPX files using GPSBabel. In Kurviger the first route displayed but subsequent routes were just shown as dotted straight lines. I have attached the GPX file?

Hi Bigrog,

thanks for the positive feedback!

1.
It's a pitty I know, but the names are not imported into Kurviger. The problem here is that Kurviger has to do some tricky things to try to build a route that is close to the GPX specified route. You could try to reduce the amount of waypoints in the Kurviger import dialog. But this could lead to a less accurate representation of the original route.

2.
No Kurviger does not allow these things yet. So would it be possible to merge the whole track in Basecamp to have a big GPX file and import it into Kurviger?

Best,
Robin

Ok I selected all the routes in Basecamp and exported them as one file. The result is is the same as it was for GPS Babel, i.e. the first route is routed properly but the remaider is just shown as dotted lines joining the waypoints. I have attached the gps file maybe you could have a look at it and see if there is any way to display is fully routed?

Also again is there any way to turn off the waypoint markers in Kurviger, or do you have any plans to do this in the future? It will make viewing the routes much simpler when importing them back.

Please try it one more time, should be fixed now. The last part of your looks a bit weird. Seems like base camp hasn't put an actual route point there. Feel free to try the same with a track was well.

In general I would want to avoid that. So you can reduce the amount of waypoints in the import dialog. That will probably reduce the problem a lot. I just feel like that such a feature would create more problems, than it would solve.
