Dears,

I am was wondering if I can setup a silent recording endpoint capturing a remote RTSP Cam and placing the content in a file with no client streaming interface.

If its possible which tutorial can help me to achieve this setup ?

Kurento doesn't require you to watch a stream in order to record it, so if you can get a view of the RTSP stream that records, you can simply not connect a viewer and it will still record AFAIK.

Hi Dobes,

Thanks a lot for your feedback.
I can stream the remote IP cam and its working perfectly.

My problem is that I can't find a tutorial with the same setup, as I mentioned i don't want this records to be exposed in the client interface as video to play, I just need it silently stored on a file, then I will offer it to the client in a frame manner (frame by frame) using Apache in a different interface.

Attaching my index.js maybe you can take a look and advise what is missing.

Thanks in advance.

You have to create a RecorderEndpoint, and instead of player.connect(webRtcEndpoint, ...) you would pass player.connect(recorderEndpoint, ...) and get rid of all the stuff related to connecting your client.

Note that if you are just recording an RTSP stream, you probably don't need kurento involved - I imagine there is some other simpler tool that can just connect to an RTSP stream and download it. e.g. http://stackoverflow.com/questions/8952913/recording-rtsp-stream
