When debugging GStreamer pipeline problems within Kurento, it would be useful if GST_DEBUG_DUMP_DOT_DIR was supported — currently it doesn’t seem to be supported.

Support for it can be added by calling GST_DEBUG_BIN_TO_DOT_FILE() at strategic points when building the Kurento pipeline.

Thanks!
Philip

Hi philip.

GST_DEBUG_DUMP_DOT_DIR is supported, but only pipelines are dumped to a file when an error is catched, you just need to export that environment variable to point at the directory you want to store them. We are also working on the media server so as to provide another mechanism to get pipelines on demand and not when errors are detected to easy debugging process but It will be ready ASAP.

Regards

Hi Philip,

We are planning to add some call to the API to allow sending dot files via json rpcs when client request them to be created. But it is something that we don't know when is it going to be released.
