Hello, clearly installed Ubuntu 14.04 on VPN. Have tried with stable and nightly builds of kms. Always get the same error:

Do you have something listening on that port?

Is it virtualised? I'm confused as to "installed it on VPN", since it is not something on which you can install a KMS on :-P

Yes, but that's not a VPN, that's why I said that I didn't know were you were running the thing. Which version are you running?

This happened to me once, but never could fathom as to why it failed, since doing a clean install of ubuntu fixed it, and never found that again, sorry! In any case, try with the latest KMS in that machine, as I haven't found that yet.
echo "deb http://ubuntu.kurento.org trusty kms6" | sudo tee /etc/apt/sources.list.d/kurento.list
wget -O - http://ubuntu.kurento.org/kurento.gpg.key | sudo apt-key add -
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install kurento-media-server-6.0

Sorry, servers are down now. We had a power shortage in our server room. I hope we are back online soon.

Logs are not placed in this file, just stderr. That is why you only get this messages, but the server seems to be up and running.

Logs are placed in the same directory but in a file with the pid and the creatiogn date/time in the name, you should check that files for the complete log.

Regards.

Could you please try on a new VM? I've only seen this once, and since it was also a newly virtualized server, I tore it down.

Also, you can try installing a tomcat server o running one or the demos, to see if it's related to KMS is something shared by other pieces of software.

APACHE TOMCAT works on this VPS, the problem is with KMS. I don't know what to do. :(

As I said, this has only happened to me once, and decided to go for a new clean installation. Jose and I were looking at that for an hour or so, but couldn't spend more time on that at that moment, so I decided to go for a new VM and it worked fine.

You could raise the loglevel o KMS to see if there's some message that could give you a hint.

Hi, I have the same problem. Nobody found a solution ? I'm trying to deploy a KMS in a Dokku container (on a dedicated server).

Thank you !

Hi,
It seems there is a problem with your locales:

what(): locale::facet::_S_create_c_locale name not valid

Please, if you have a question just do ask in a different thread. There's no way of knowing how we can help you if you don't specify what your issue is.
