Uhuru Will Be Sworn in on Nov 28 , 2017
President Uhuru Kenyatta will be sworn in for his second term in office on Tuesday, November 28 , 2017. In a unanimous six-judges decision Kenya's Supreme Court today upheld Uhuru's re-election in the October 26 repeat presidential poll after the August 8 poll was nullified on September 1 when the Court cited "irregularities and illegalities". In today's summary judgement Chief Justice David Maraga said that the two petitions, filed by former assistant minister Harun Mwau and another by Njonjo Mue and Khelef Khalifa, were not merited, and Uhuru Kenyatta was properly elected.
