Uhuru Kenyatta has been elected to a second presidential term in Kenya. Uhuru will be handed his elections winning certificate today by Kenya's Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) at the Bomas of Kenya in Nairobi. In the just completed 2017 Kenya Presidential Elections Uhuru garnered about 8.2 million votes (53.86%). Uhuru beat his opposition rival, Raila Odinga, who garnered about 6.8 million votes (44.54%) out of a total of about 15 million votes cast in the Presidential Elections.
Kenya's 2017 General Elections are being hailed across the world for being well conducted, transparent, peaceful and credible - a performance that many countries ought to emulate.
