It was a great meeting on February 23, 2018, at SAP Falcha. Thanks for those who showed up for the face-to-face. The meeting began at 5:30 PM and concluded at 7:00 PM. Here is a brief outline of the discussion and action items with the review of the meeting.

1. Action Items: -Review, Update & Matters Arising: Following Action items review were taken up from the previous FOSS-NP-All team meeting minutes of the FOSS Nepal Community. The list of status updates and action ahead is incorporated in the main Action Item list below.

2. FOSS-NP- Revisit, Revise, Renew and Contribute

1. Sagun committed to contributing Rs. 5000/- to support the renewal process of FOSS Nepal.

2. Some suggestions that were shared were: i) Technical adoption in domestic industry and governance; ii) Vital role in the removal of Industry and Academic gap; iii) Technology and Technological capacity increase/enhance.

3. Kapil Nakhwa to lead the discussion on the mailing list, on revising the FOSS Nepal charter, goals and objective. After the recommendations from the community, FOSS-NP new mission will be worked out.

3. FOSS-NP-Year-2018 Calendar and Upcoming Events

1. FOSS-KA-KURA (FKK): We could not host any FOSS-KA-Kura in February 2018. Sanjog Singdel to work for possible FKK at COMSOS,  Pokhara, Virinchi, SOL, and other possible institutions in the upcoming month.

2. March 03, 2018- Open Data Day: ODD 2018 is being celebrated in Nepal. In Kathmandu, there are multiple organizations teamed up to organize this day. Nikesh Balami leading OKN Np and also representing FOSS Nepal will be updating the event details. In Chitwan, Sagar and his team are hosting the ODD event.

3. March 05-09- Open Education Week: Rabi Bhattarai (RB) will be working on LibraryBox deployment in Patan Hospital as part of the OEW- 2018.

4. March 17-18- WordCamp Nepal: WordCamp is taking place in Kathmandu. Participants can register online for the event which will be hosted at Karki Banquet.

5. March 29, Document Freedom Day: Sanjog Sigdel to coordinate with KUOSC team for any possible collaboration and DFD celebration in KU.

6. March 31, 2018 - Docker Meetup: Avash Mulmi will be coordinating the Docker Meetup after the FOSS-NP monthly meetup on March 31, 2018 (after 11:00 AM-1: 30 PM).

4. FOSS-NP-(UN)-Conference 2018

1. Sanjog Sigdel to take lead. He will initiate college visits along with FKK to be conducted.

2. Project Demo for SFD 2018 to be targeted for the Un-Conference as well.

3. Paper presentation and Un-conference Concept, Proposal, and web-presence to be discussed with the team within March and presented for finalization in FOSS-NP-March Meeting.

5. Getting FOSS Nepal House in Order: Resources listed in the previous meeting is being included in the Action Item section with review and Action Ahead.

Closing remarks

All the participants took few seconds to share their final thoughts before the closing of the meeting. Here are representative views:

1. The consistency was important, and if stable, can achieve perfection.

2. The meeting was a bit late and less in participation, which indicated that the Friday seems to be a rush day for most of the members. So, in the next meeting, the discussion on the appropriate date will be called upon.

3. Less participation from the Legal Delegates of FOSS Nepal was questioned. So it needs to be raised that legal delegates have to be present and participate in the monthly meetings.

4. FOSS-NP-(Un)-Conference requires serious startups, so all the community members who would like to contribute need to onboard now.

5. FOSS-NP will need platforms like tiago.io, trello, or next cloud instance, or canone board for Integrated communication Management and Fabricator. An erp.fossnepal.org to be tested if feasible and workable.
