探讨山寨产品的现象及含义
To discuss the appearance of “shanzhai”products(emulate products) and
its implication
关于主题的一些最初的想法 Some initial thoughts about the topic
Recently I read an article talking about “shan zhai” products in
Shenzhen. It says“In China, Knockoff Cell phones Are a Hit”.
Maybe“shan zhai ”becomes popular now,but not yet popular among
youngsters.
That made me think about where the name of “shan zhai ” comes from..
It comes form the old Chinese language, meaning a village with the
poor and robbers. Now the emulate products come from cottage-products
in the HK ,and they usually carry a meaning that is not so good, like:
desa berkubu, cottage-products, emulation, copycatting, cheap copy
counterfeit cell phone, counterfeit lap top computer, bootleg,
simulated mobile phone, simulated laptop…
But despite of all these bad names, they still make the GDP increase
and force the big IT brand reduce their price.
So i hope to understand more about the implication of "shanzhai"
products through our discussion.
