Hey guys
I have been asking around about the field lately, but it didn't turn out very well. i have some thoughts can share with everybody and maybe we can figure this out together.
1: if any of you are studying or teaching in the universities around downtown, you might ask people about who run the field and find out how to use it. as far as i know, those fields are all not free and charged quite a lot money, like 400-500kuai per soccer game. unless we can find some relationship in the school to get it for a low price, it would be less unlikely to play on them.
2: there is a public park near dian lake which is kinda far outside the city, i heard it has a grass field that may work. the entrance fee is 10 kuai. we could consider this option if people are willing to take a 30 or 40 mins bus to go there. let's say once a week on Sunday or Saturday.
3: Dania said there is a school bus going to chenggong(呈贡)everyday, which is all the new campuses at, we might be able to take the bus to there and play, they have good fields and seems open to everybody. but it is also 40mins bus away.
4: Sunpo is asking his friend about using a high school field, but he hasn't got back from her.
if you have any thoughts or ideas, pls let me know. we need to get pick up going asap. and if we can't get enough ppl to pick up, at least we can toss some disc at Yunnan normal university, they have a turf field. feel free to call me or text me if u wanna toss it during the weekend, my cellphone number is 15887040504
ultimately yours

I checked out 西华园 today on Xi ba lu, would be great for anyone just wanting to toss (they have a good amount of open grass areas) but there was nothing big enough for a game. The one section that could have been small but good has 2 huge trees right in the middle.
Sorry guys, lets all keep looking.
And in the mean time, check out the 西华 park anyways, lots of boats and activities and unbelievable cartoonish decorations and carnival rides for kids ;)

hey i have some update for the field searching.
Dan (not siekman) is going to ask about the field in chenggong, he is a teacher in yunnan university and he wants to pick up with us.
Erin, can u ask your friend in KIA as well? or anyone who knows people from KIA, they have a field and we may set up some frisbee course or activities with the kids?
Sunpo is still asking some other fields nearby, wish him luck.
and i asked Alyssa to call some of her teacher friend, i will keep following up the turn out.
if we couldn't find a field by this weekend, we can at least toss around in 昆明理工 in xue fu lu or go to hai geng park.

More updates today:
Sunpo went to haigeng park yesterday, and he said the grass area is too small to pick up.
Does anyone know any teacher from KIA? this is might be a doable option.
Me and sunpo are asking the price for the field nearby, try to find a reasonable price for us.
keeping looking, guys, clear eyes, full heart, can't lose

Hey guys!
finally we can play some frisbee again! me and sunpo found this field in KIA on friday, and pick up with them. they are all expats studying in KIA and most of them are 17 or 18 years old. the field is bigger than the old one we used but a lot better. i have asked to play with us tomorrow on 430, so let's get some awesome frisbee going!
the field is in side a community called 湖畔之梦小区(hu pan zhi meng xiao qu), which is quite far south, you can take bus 65 or 84 and get off at 小西门站(xiao xi meng zhan), and then take bus 160 to 湖畔之梦小区(hu pan zhi meng xiao qu(16stops). it is about one hours bus ride. i know, i know, it is far, but before we find some other field better than this, let's try play on this field first, beside there is frisbee going already! so when you get off the bus station, walk straight about 20m you will see a salling boat shape statue on your right side, that is the main entrance of the xiao qu, walk in about 100m, u will be able to see the field.
and the students told me we might need to pay some money to use it in weekend, but i think it wont be too much, cuz it is far away and not a lot ppl know about it. and if we play with the students, they might think we are together and just practicing.
so tomorrow, we start at 430, which means we should leave around 3ish. pls come and invite your friends. call me if you have trouble finding the field.
