Dear Brothers and Sisters,
Message from our CME team. Please take a look and do the needful.
In today's times, the Healthcare sector today is more than ever before, falling victim to stress, anxiety, professional pulls and pushes and expectations from all directions resulting in depression and increased deaths. The medical students too, are undergoing a lot of stress due to academics, financial as well as peer pressures and burnouts leading to an increase in suicidal tendencies and rise in dropouts.
In order to develop the Healthcare sector as efficient and content professionals, to make them empathic healers, relieve them of pressures and bring about a shift from burnout to joy, Heartfulness Institute presents educational and wellness programs for the Healthcare sector.
These programs are titled as Heartfulness Med Ed (Medical Education Series) and offer Continuing Medical Education (CME) as well as Integrated leadership programs (ILP) for Medical Professionals (practising doctors, surgeons, CEOs and CFOs) and Student programs named Ankur specifically for the Medical Students. CME-ILP are also designed and offered to nurses/ paramedics.
What is CME?
CME programs consist of educational activities which serve to maintain, develop, or increase the knowledge, skills and professional performance and relationships that a Healthcare Professional uses to provide services for patients, the public, or the profession. These can be offered to professionals, medicos and nurses.
These are integrated leadership development programs with an objective to relax and rejuvenate the healthcare professionals and help them learn and inculcate the art of coping with daily stress and uncertainties and deliver an unmatchable humane experience.
The programs differ in the objectives, duration and are designed to meet the needs of the healthcare systems.
These CME modules are designed with a blend of audio-visual presentations and practically guided sessions to actually relax and de-stress oneself. It is combined with activities to keep the audience engaged and involved. It is an enriching experience which would be treasured by the participants.
CME programs are developed in collaboration with Annenberg Centre for Health Sciences at Eisenhower for Physicians (AMA), Nurses (ANCC) and Psychologists (APA) USA.
What is Ankur?
In the formative years of medical college, each medical student undergoes pressures of transitions, lack of self-confidence, pressures of dealing with human lives, multilingual exposure, multicultural exposure, burdening academics, dilemma between ethics and values, inadequate quality of living conditions, health issues, deadlines for project completion, burn out due to long working hours, relationship and personal issues etc. Needless to say, many studies have indicated that stress is the most common cause of all problems in medical students life. It is dynamic and keeps shifting frontiers and leads to the student becoming a victim of his own tendencies. A lot of difference can be made if the practising professionals guide these students with their experience and knowledge.
Recently, the Medical Council of India has released a notification to host Foundation course for all the MBBS students during their orientation programs where life skills, extracurriculars etc are to be taken care of. Many universities are approaching us with this regard and it's a wonderful opportunity too spread Heartfulness programs amongst medical colleges.
We offer a flexible combination of on-site, residential and customized programmes to meet the objectives of medical students or professionals. Heartfulness Med Ed programs are unique educational opportunities to learn from practising Medicos and PhDs, who have experienced Heartfulness meditators and/or trainers.
