The kundalini rising experience is unique to every individual.
I will say this. If you meditation you should exercise.
Best exercise - kundalini yoga but you will get some benefit from yoga
in general as well as dancing, hiking, mountain climbing, arobics,
pilates and many other forms of exercise. It works as a ground.

When you meditate try to observe what is happening and not become a
slave to the experiences and thoughts in the meditative experience.
When you begin to meditate it is a cleanse and cleans the subconscious
stuff in your mind. A lot of people don't realize that it takes a
while to calm the mind in meditation. Not every time but most times.
Their are meditations and expercises just for that by the way.

Kundalini can rise chakra by chakra or all at once. In my case 2 hatha
yoga classes and fire up the spine. It does go back down but the more
you practice even if it is not as regular as you would like the easier
it is to raise that energy.

Also the cup is half full helps a lot
