Greetings Men,
There is so much going on this weekend we wanted to put out a special note to everyone…though you might have already received some of this.
Sun. Sept 11th @ 7:15am - Men’s Fellowship Breakfast - Come join fellow Christians for GREAT fellowship and a tasty breakfast as we remember together that fateful day 9/11 10 years ago and how it has impacted all our lives. We’ll have an interesting guest and share together what’s going on in Kingwood United Methodist Church, so many opportunities to share together your journey with the Lord, Join us in the KUMC Gym. Ladies are INVITED & VERY MUCH brighten our day.
· Sun. Sept. 11th @ 7:30pm - Special 9/11 Service of Remembrance & Concert - People will be gathering at Strawbridge UMC this evening to remember the tragic events of Sept. 11, 2001, and to praise God’s work that has followed as a result of it. To honor this, a special chorus composed of five choirs will performed John Ratter’s Requiem to mark the occasion. Come be a part of this special service of music and remembrance.
· Mon. Sept 12th @ 7pm - Letters from Dad Fall Sessions - By now you have no doubt heard from some men, and perhaps your family has heard from their family, about a course where men just like you are writing letters to their families with some amazing and unexpected results. It’s called “Letters from Dad” and it’s a four session course that teaches you how to leave a legacy for your family. Contact Patrick Evans or a guy you know that has been. They meet the second Monday for four months. More info at 281-358-2137.
· Beginning Sept. 13th @ 6:00am - A New Quest for Tuesday Mornings - There is a war going on out there and you may or may not know it. It takes place in our lives, in our jobs, in our friendships and in our distractions and it’s called “spiritual warfare”. Men’s Fraternity is taking a break for this Fall and Spring to make room for some sessions in the same style that will teach us all how to stay in tune with God and realize all He has for us despite the world going on all around us. It’s called Quest and it’s a great way to get a new group of men together to learn and grow in true “Men’s’ Fraternity” style. Contact Rev. Patrick Evans for details at 281-358-2137 or simply meet in the Fellowship Hall each Tuesday for a few weeks.
Kindest regards,
