Sept. 11th @ 7:30pm - Special 9/11 Service of Remembrance - People will be gathering at Strawbridge UMC this evening to remember the tragic events of Sept. 11, 2001, and to praise God’s work that has followed as a result of it. Sept 12th @ 7pm - Letters from Dad Fall Sessions - By now you have no doubt heard from some men, and perhaps your family has heard from their family, about a course where men just like you are writing letters to their families with some amazing and unexpected results. It’s called “Letters from Dad” and it’s a four session course that teaches you how to leave a legacy for your family. Contact Patrick Evans or a guy you know that has been. It takes place in our lives, in our jobs, in our friendships and in our distractions and it’s called “spiritual warfare”. Men’s Fraternity is taking a break for this Fall and Spring to make room for some sessions in the same style that will teach us all how to stay in tune with God and realize all He has for us despite the world going on all around us. It’s called Quest and it’s a great way to get a new group of men together to learn and grow in true “Mens’ Fraternity” style. Contact Rev. Details TBA but come out this first Saturday ready to work a little in some of God’s fellowship. · Beginning Sunday Sept. 18th - From Called To Sent Groups - The groups that have been meeting for the past 1-1 ½ years in the 3 year course known as “From Called To Sent” will reconviniene starting this Sunday evening. A new group will start also on Wednesdays with details below. · Beginning Wed. Sept. 21st - From Called To Sent Group Forming: From Disciple to Apostle - You may know of several people who have been meeting on Sunday evenings to hear lectures and commentary from Rev. Elizabeth Moreau. These are based on her books and are a study of the early church practices and how they can help us today. It’s a three (3) year journey that is more than worth taking. A new group is starting for Wednesday night meetings beginning at around 7pm. Fall and Spring sessions last about 6-8 weeks each with group meetings in between to pray and share and fellowship.
