I have an urgent requirement as follows:

 

Role:   Application Support Analyst                                   

Duration : 6 months

 Location:NYC, NY

 

Job Description:

 

The key job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

 

·         Learn the FIT infrastructure, data models and related data flows

·         Monitor and trouble shoot production jobs

·         Perform root cause analysis and resolve issues

·         Use SQL database language for data analysis and inquiry

·         Work with IT on system and functional enhancements; test results and resolve issues

·         Participate in application analysis and functional design, working closely with business analysts and subject matter experts

·         Partner with onshore and offshore developers and support personnel

 

Job Qualifications:

 

The ideal candidate should have the following:

 

Qualifications, Experience, Education, Skills:

·         BS/MS in either Information Systems, Finance/Economics or Computer Science

·         Proven track record of 6-8 years of continuous experience in development and implementation of data solutions in financial services, specifically with portfolio management or trading applications.

·         Proven track record supporting mission critical applications deployed within a controlled production environment

·         Proficient SQL coding

·         Proficient Unix shell scripting; PERL is a plus

·         Experience working with enterprise scheduler (such as ControlM or Autosys)

·         Experience working with trading or security analytics data; solid knowledge of analytics data providers such as Barclays POINT, Bloomberg, etc.

·         Strong analytical, problem solving and data mining skills;  creativity, ability to think out-of-the box while defining sound and practical solutions

·         Experience supporting the entire software development and implementation lifecycle; work on multiple streams simultaneously. Should be able to work with onshore and offshore developers for solution implementation.
