Kumamoto International Friendship Festival this weekend

Hello everybody,

If you are free this Saturday, November 7, the Kumamoto International Friendship Festival is happening from 11 to 4pm at the Kengun Shopping district （健軍商店街） in Kumamoto City. There will be food, stage performances, face painting, and a wide variety of booths for international groups in and around Kumamoto. Kumamon will also be dropping by at 2 for an appearance. The Kumamoto JET community will also be well represented, as we will have a table at the festival staffed by current JET volunteers and a special live stage performance by one of our current JETs! We would love it if you could stop by to lend your support and say hello.

If you're also interested in getting involved with some activities at the festival, there will be a foreign language conversation table, Japanese tea ceremony, and a kimono/hakama fitting experience as well.

The Kengun Shopping Street is located right by the Kengunmachi tram stop, which is the last stop on the Kumamoto City tram.
