Hello everyone,

The Kumamoto UNESCO group will be holding a Noh workshop in Kumamoto City later this month. It will be mainly oriented towards study abroad students and ALTs/CIRs so this is a great opportunity to learn about the traditional Japanese theatre art of Noh. There will also be a chance to try on traditional Noh clothing and perform a few Noh moves yourself!

Time and Date: January 31 (Sunday), 2-4 PM, check in begins at 1:30
Location: Kumamoto Prefectural Theater (Google Maps Link), B1F, Large Meeting Room
Program Details:
1) Explanation of Noh, Noh techniques, and Noh masks
2) Chance to try on Noh clothing and try Noh dancing

Best of all, it is all completely free! However, space is limited. There are 50 spots, which are first come, first serve. If you are interested in participating in the Noh workshop, please e-mail me your:
- Name (Romaji and Furigana)
- Nationality
- Name of BOE (JHS ALTs)/base school (HS ALTs)/workplace (CIRs)
- Name of Tantosha
- Tantosha phone number
- Tantosha fax number

Applications will be accepted until January 25 or all spots are filled, whichever comes first.

Just in case you need an introduction/refresher to Noh: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Noh

Thanks,
Roland
