 Hi Everyone,

I wanted to post this role to see if anyone would be interested. If you are interested please feel free to give me a call or email me at Jaclyn.s...@gmail.com. Hope all is well.

- 5+ years experience
- Linux Admin experience
- Apache server experience
- Ubuntu experience
- Exceptional communication
- PCI vulnerability experience

- Automation tool experience
- Experience with multiple systems at once

This candidate is going to be working with the development teams. They will be working with non-production and patching those servers and then moving to production and patching those servers. Similarly, they will be installing and configuring in the environment and will need to be able to address the PCI vulnerabilities. This candidate will be configuring the OS itself and troubleshooting the apache server. They will be working side by side with the development teams and other system admin teams so exceptional communication is a must.

I responded directly to Jaclyn with no response.  Googling her, it appears that she's a recruiter.

Folks, a polite reminder that this list is not for recruiters.  This list is for discussion by Linux enthusiasts in the area (or formerly in the area).  Please do not refer recruiters that you know to this list.  In this circumstance, she put that she was referred here by an existing member, but didn't mention that she was a recruiter.  Normally recruiters get denied.

I do not mind if technical people post job opportunities that they know of at the places they work at.  Those are good leads, and people appreciate the information.

What I'm trying to avoid is this list becoming a source of spam from recruiters and a source of emails to harvest so that you can get spammed directly.

I'm going to unsub her.  Please let me know if this was in error.

Jeffrey.

This is my fault, I'm the one who referred her, she was telling me she was having a hard time finding qualified Linux Admins, and she's recruiting for the place where I work, the last two they sent us were horrible, so bad that we suspected they hired ringers to do their phone interviews, so I suggested to her that she might have better luck finding good admins here.  Again, sorry, I won't do it again.

Thank you,

No problem Rezty.  Feel free to post something like that yourself, you can always just put her contact info in the email.  Folks like to hear that there's an opening at some place where someone we know already works.  :)

We've just had bad experiences in the past with recruiters harassing list members.  Does anyone remember the name of that one guy?

Jeffrey.
