Dear everyone,
We hope everything is going
well as the new semester started in this pandemic situation. Even though we
couldn’t hold events early this year, we are pleased to announce a “Nakagawa
Bus Hike 2021” this month. The weather perfectly suits for a walk in November right
before the winter. Thus, we would like to introduce an event that we take a
walk to Japanese shrine and temple, exchange our international senses with
other foreigners and Japanese people while sightseeing through Nakagawa city
historical sites and during BBQ time!
This event is organized by Nakagawa City Board of Education/Nakagawa City
Cultural Association. We will visit historical sites in Nakagawa city starting
from Arahito
Shrine, which is a biggest shrine in
Nakagawa city that celebrates the god of sea, Sumiyoshi. The Sumiyoshi shrine
in Osaka and Hakata are known to dispersed from this shrine. And next, Daitokuji
temple, a temple that located with small Kannon mountain behind and generates
beautiful scenery, established in 1902. Then we head to “Sefuri shonen shizen
no ie”, a Nakagawa campsite, holding a BBQ lunch. After that, we will proceed
to a bamboo work experience with local Japanese. It will be a nice opportunity
to visit historical sites and broaden the perspectives within the international
community!
