[KUFSA] Nakagawa Autumn Hike & BBQ 2020

Dear everyone,
Having a good start of the new semester? We hope everything is going well as the new semester started in this pandemic situation. Even though we couldn’t hold events early this year, we are pleased to announce a “Nakagawa Bus Hike 2020” this month. The weather perfectly suits for a walk nowadays, why don’t we exchange our international senses with other foreigners and Japanese people while sightseeing through Nakagawa city historical sites?This event is organized by Nakagawa City Board of Education/Nakagawa City Cultural Association. We will visit historical sites in Nakagawa city starting from Antokugu Observatory, which was established by lava flow from the eruption. And next, Kawasemi Park-Rita Mizo by walk and Rita Shrine-Ridamizo Park on ride. You can see an only water way in Japan that retained its original form among Japanese industrial heritage, Sakuta no Unade. And Sakuta Shrine, which was built to pray for the completion of the Sakuta no Unade. Then we head to Greenpia Nakagawa campsite and hold a BBQ lunch. Afterwards, we will experience bamboo work. On the way back, we will pass over Gokayama dam which completed 2017. It will be a nice opportunity to visit historical sites and broaden the perspectives within the international community!
Before registration, please note the following information regarding the event this year.
- Time: October 31st, 2020 (Saturday). 9:00 - 17:00.
- Place: Nakagawa-shi Greenpia Nakagawa (National Historic Site Antokudai, Japan Heritage Sakuta no Unada, Greenpia Nakagawa Camp Village 870-2 Gokayama)
- Participation fee: FREE (Lunch included)
- Transportation: Free transport provided from "Ito campus" ONLY. Individuals who come by their own vehicles are also welcome to join.
- Eligibility: Students of Kyushu University and families.
- Capacity: 25 people.

- REGISTRATION DEADLINE: October 14th, 2020 (Wednesday).
----IMPORTANT NOTICES----
1. All participants need to wear masks at all time throughout the event. We will conduct a temperature check on the day before getting on the bus.
2. Due to the pandemic situation, we CANNOT ALLOW CHILDREN to this event this year.
3. We recommend you to prepare convenient hiking shoes.
4. Regarding food restrictions, Halal meat and veggies will be provided for BBQ lunch.
5. We must collect participants' HOME ADDRESSES in case of an emergency. *We will not use nor disclose your personal information and use only for the purposes for this event. We will retain your information only during this event and destroy after the event*
6. In case of an excess number of participants, we need to do lottery picking if necessary.
