Recap of Last Meeting


Last meeting were individual committee meetings. If you've missed out do not worry it is never too late to join a committee! Here is a summary of what each committee did:


  • Environmental Preservation (Lauren, Rion)

    • Campus Food
      • Picked pears on campus.

    • Potter Lake
      • Discussed Potter Lake restoration
      • Looked at switchgrass during Potter Lake field trip

    • Wetlands
      • Assigned wetland plant research


  • Resource Conservation (Nick, Trevor)

    • LED Lights
      • Provided update on lights and near future meeting with heads of Facilities Operations

    • Game Day Recycling
      • Got approval for signs to be posted at entrances, signs will be made game week.
      • Created survey to ask among tailgaters regarding game recycling.
      • Look into potential Athletics donors to fund program.
      • Look into possibility of chalking at Memorial Stadium
      • Setup another meeting with athletics.
    • Phone/Directory Books
      • Contacted University Relations for possible meeting on Thursday.


  • Educational Creative Outreach [ECO] (Monica, Mahleea)

    • Beehive Collective
      • Discussed event.
      • Passed out fliers to post up.

    • Student Farm Plot
      • Planted garlic.
      • Cleaned plot.


  • Local Food (Kim, Nolan)

    • Broke Up Into 4 Committees
      • Film
      • Compost
      • Poster/Brochure
      • Fall Garden
