All,

As many of you may have seen in the UDK and the LJ World in the past week, the University of Kansas recently implemented demonstration LED lights on west campus.  They illuminate the walkway that runs through the bioswale on west campus from the new Pharmacy Building to the parking lot behind the Multidisciplinary Research Building (MRB).

There are surveys located in the middle of the pathway for the public to compare the two different types of LED lights on display with the current campus standard for lights.  We need your input as we decide which lights we will implement on our campuses in the future!  The lights/surveys will be present until May 30th.  We encourage students/faculty/staff to visit the walkway during these last two weeks of classes.

This project represents new and sustainable technology that KU is exploring to incorporate on our campuses. The LED demonstration project was made possible by  Environs along with contributions from Design and Construction Management (DCM) and the Student Environmental Advisory Board (SEAB).  For more information, visit:

KU Environs
