I would like to inform you guys that I have been elected as Google
desktop Ambassador for department of computer science
university of Karachi by Google Team. so as an Google desktop
Ambassador my responsibilities would be

Organize and manage a university-wide Google Desktop Developer Group
Create a local web site or a discussion group
Support local Google campus events
Organize and execute campus programming contests
Blog about the group activities on various blogs (including the GD
blogs)
Support student project use of Google Desktop technologies
Organizing students to collaborate on interesting projects

so it's a great opportunity for students even pass out students to
learn new technologies from Google .

some of the benefits that I will be bringing for DCS Students will be

Exposure to early technology from Google
Direct line to the Google Desktop team (as well as other Google
teams)
Great way to have a positive impact on students at your university
Good networking opportunity to make contacts among students and
faculty
Rewards from the GD team


Recently I have talked to Google team They are planing for something
Big!
there will be a programming contest held at universities level first
then winner will participate in continental level and then the winner
of continental will participate in final held at Mountain View. so
from new year we will see some action .
