Folks, Team, Each and everyone of you,

It’s been more or less 10 years since the first code that eventually
became KubeVirt (kubevrit/kubevirt) was written.

The eyes reading this email have probably also seen some of this code
getting written, documentation getting added, tests getting reworked,
slides getting created to present the project, papers over papers as
part of the project governance, or YAMLs of VM specs getting applied
to a Kubernetes cluster.

In these past 10 years we have seen over 1000 individuals contributing
to the core KubeVirt code base, addressing security issues, bugs, and
features, as well as a long list of end users and vendors adopting
KubeVirt in their environments and products; both contributing to a
healthy community.

And not only to grow KubeVirt, but we have had our own impact on
Kubernetes, for example, as an early adopter of CRDs (Does anybody
remember TPRs!?) and its ecosystem; leading to projects like medik8s,
kubernetes-nmstate, and many more.

All of us made KubeVirt what it is today - and it’s in our hands to
keep it maintainable, and move it forward - into the future. Let's
contribute to innovation in the virtualization space, with a focus on
addressing the needs of running virtual machines and the workloads
within.

Take a moment to celebrate - and reflect - these 10 years.
Thank you - congratulations, and take care

On behalf of KubeVirt Maintainers
