We have a business use case where we need to run aarch64 on x86 hardware for image builds. Is kubevirt capable of emulating aarch64 on x86?

Hi Julian,

no, currently it isn't possible.

First, we are completely missing the qemu emulators for other architectures in the virt-launcher image. Second, to my knowledge, we would need a way to specify the architecture we want to emulate and this isn't in the KubeVirt API yet.

However, feel free to open an issue with this feature request under: https://github.com/kubevirt/kubevirt/issues

Many thanks,
Alice
