VEP 100 Extension Request

I would like to request a 7-day extension for https://github.com/kubevirt/kubevirt/pull/15966

PR is almost done and won't likely take up to 7days

Hi Olalekan,

Unfortunately, I don't see much activity on the PR as of now. I am afraid we will need to postpone it until release 1.9. That means this can be merged to main today but should not be backported.
