[VEP#144] 7-day feature freeze exception request

Hi,

I'm requesting an exception to extend the feature freeze date to the 4th
of March of 2026 for VEP#144:

    https://github.com/kubevirt/enhancements/issues/144

The implementation PR has been stable for some time, has been reviewed
by different people, got the approval and lgtm tags and the observed
test failures do not seem to be related to the feature itself.

I'm confident the feature does not need further source code changes and
that is ready to make it into v1.8 as alpha. I'm requesting a 7-day
exception to handle possible upcoming rebases and handle testing in a
timely manner.
