Extending Kubernetes dashboard with custom plugin

Hello,

We are looking how to add custom view to Kubernetes dashboard.

We found plugin docs here: https://github.com/kubernetes/dashboard/tree/master/docs/plugins

Description there shows how to register plugin CRD, compile sample plugin and install sample plugin into cluster along with required config maps.

Outside of this documentation we could not find any mentions of Kubernetes Dashboard plugins online or any examples of already available dashboard plugins.

Could somebody help to understand current state of this extension framework? Is it in working state?

@SuperR55 did you figure out this? I created #6596 as I only got "This plugin has no entry component" when compiling the two example plugins.
