I would like to kindly request an exception for release 1.28.

• Additional time needed (in days): 3
  
• Reason this enhancement is critical for this milestone: The feature provides the opportunity of creating custom PV deletion policies. While not deemed critical, incorporating it in the next release would be warmly welcomed.
• Risks from adding code late: (to k8s stability, testing, etc.) Very low risk as this is an alpha feature behind a feature gate.
  
• Risks from cutting enhancement: (partial implementation, critical customer usecase, etc.) If this feature is not introduced, users may continue to face potential data loss when using the Delete retain policy and may have to rely on the safer Retain policy, leading to the accumulation of released volumes over time, requiring manual cleanup based on the last time the volume was used.
