Hi Michelle/Dave,

I want to give you an update on CSI Migration of vSphere driver.  Given the amount of work needed to support this feature, we don’t think we can complete it and deliver an alpha release in Kubernetes 1.18.  We will continue to work on it and are planning to do a beta release of CSI migration directly in 1.19.  Is that okay?

Thanks,

Xing

Thanks for the update! I think if you can meet the beta criteria by 1.19 then I am fine going directly to beta. Given that this migration may be a bit complex, would you be able to put out a kep detailing the changes that need to be made?

Thanks,
Michelle

Sure, we'll work on a KEP.

Thanks,

+1 to what Michelle said.

Meeting the Beta criteria is sufficient and necessary.
