The shadow application for the Kubernetes v1.33 Release Team is now open!

Please fill out the application form[1] to be considered as a shadow on the team.

While the release calendar has not been finalized, here is an overview of the release:

• Release Team Shadow Application Opens: Tuesday, December 17, 2024
• Release Team Shadow Application Closes: Wednesday, January 08, 2025 (23:59 UTC)
• Release Team Shadow Notifications send out latest: Friday, January 17, 2024
• Release Cycle Start: Monday, January 13, 2025 (approximate)
• Release Cycle End: Wednesday, April 23, 2025 (approximate)

The dates are subject to change. Keep an eye on the sig-release slack channel[2] and kubernetes/sig-release[3] repository for updates.

Please note that this is the first release with the Release Notes team merged under Docs team.

• Release Team Shadow Notifications send out latest: Friday, January 17, 2025 not 2024, that would require a time machine :D
