Kubernetes 1.35 Sneak Peak

Hello Kubernetes community!
We hope everyone enjoyed the two Kubernetes releases this year, including our most recent v1.34 'Of Wind & Will (O' WaW)'[0]. ⛵️ Now, it's time to start the process for the third and final release of 2025: Kubernetes 1.35[1]. 🚀
The release cycle will start next week on Monday 15th September, and we’re targeting Wednesday 17th December for the final release cut. The major milestones for the 1.35 release[2] are the following:
- Release Cycle begins: Monday, September 15th 2025
- Enhancements Freeze: Thursday, October 16th (End of Day, Anywhere on Earth) / 12:00 UTC Friday, October 17th 2025
- Code Freeze: Thursday, November 6th (EoD AoE) / 12:00 UTC Friday, November 7th 2025
- Release Day: Wednesday, December 17th 2025
My name is Drew Hagen, and I’m the Release Lead for 1.35. I'm excited to be accompanied by Ryota Sawada, Jenny Shu, Rajalakshmi Girish and Dipesh Rawat as Release Lead Shadows.
Joining us are some amazing sub-team leads:
