Docs freeze exception for KEP-5207 - metrics.k8s.io API definition

Hi Release Team,

I’d like to request a Docs Freeze Exception for the following change.

• Enhancement name: metrics.k8s.io API definition
• Enhancement status (alpha/beta/stable): stable
• SIG: Instrumentation
• k/enhancements repo issue #: 5207
• PR #’s: https://github.com/kubernetes/website/pull/56956
• Additional time needed (in calendar days, due end of day AoE): 1
• Reason this enhancement is critical for this milestone: This feature has already been merged into the v1.37 code, and the sneak peek has been posted. The documentation is just providing additional details on the concept, and Tim (@lmktfy) has already given his review feedback.

Additional context: Although this KEP has already been marked as "Tracked for Docs Freeze," the SIG Docs reviewers have requested further information. I have opened a PR to include these updates and believe this will not be time-consuming.

Correction: It should be 8 days from the Docs Freeze.

Hi all,

After reviewing the request and the discussion in the referenced Slack thread [0], the Release Team is REJECTING this exception request.

The decision has been made that the PR will be prepared to be in a mergeable state against the `main` branch and will be merged as a fast follow-up following the v1.37 release.
