SIG Release subproject leadership update — Welcoming Frederico Muñoz!

One of the most rewarding aspects of our roles is watching contributors grow, from their introduction to the project to taking on leadership roles of their own, in our SIG and in others. The Release Team is famously one of the more high-pressure and competitive ways to begin contributing to Kubernetes, and so we have the honor of watching many new contributors learn the ropes and move on to do great things.

Today, SIG Release is excited to announce an update to subproject leadership. Frederico Muñoz will be joining Kat Cosgrove as co-lead of the Release Team subproject. 

Frederico has been on the Release Team since v1.25, with a variety of leading and shadowing roles. He was the Release Lead for 1.32 and the EA for 1.34. He is also a contributor in the SIG ContribEx Comms subproject, currently with the role of blogging lead. Professionally, he is a Cloud Architect at SAS, and has a long community involvement background in FLOSS.

It has been a pleasure to watch Frederico throughout the years. We know you’ll be a valuable addition to the team, and look forward to your continued contributions to the release team!
