Hi folks,

As a Kubernetes SIG, we are able to host an Intro and/or Deep Dive session during KubeCon + CloudNativeCon Europe in Barcelona, Spain, May 21–23, 2019, within the “Maintainer Track.”

I'd like SIG-PM to apply for both opportunities, with Intro as a mandatory one. As an alternative, we choose to combine the intro and deep dive(back-to-back) for an 80-minute session.

The deadline to register to offer Intro and Deep Dive sessions for Barcelona is Friday, February 8 (tomorrow); if there won't be any objections or proposals tomorrow by 10am PT, I'll go ahead and apply SIG-PM for Intro session.

Thoughts?

No objections from me! I'd like to co-present on both.

I’m looking forward to contributing. I like the idea of a consolidated session mostly because most of us have so many obligations

I'd like to remind that the duration of a single consolidated session is 80 minutes. Is it fine for everyone?

Asking because some other SIGs skipped the idea of the consolidated session as it could be easier to allocate 2x35-min slots rather than 1x80-min.

Two sessions also gives us the opportunity to draw two audiences. I'm in favor of that.

Any other thoughts on the session format? :)

Either can work.  Perhaps one longer session might encourage a deeper discussion?

Agree, but I'm more a proponent of Stephen's argument - two sessions give us the opportunity to draw two audiences.

Happy to discuss.

I am doubtful there would be anyone who would commit to a single 80m slot at KubeCon and as such would prefer the 2 x 35m slots. Happy to help prepare/present either way.

Also perhaps there is a potential to engage someone new so you can create a bench of people who can get trained in the process?

If so, I am game!

Cheers,
