• 3 days - the work is small changes to CRI api. We have LGTM from Enhancement authors and a reviewer but need approval from stakeholders
• Reason this enhancement is critical for this milestone:
• It allows Runtimes (specifically for Windows) to make the necessary updates to implement the KEP.
• Need v1.25 CRI-API changes verondered into containerd for a v1.7 release (ETA oct) so that we can have the go beta in v1.26
• Risks from adding code late: (to k8s stability, testing, etc.)
• small - feature is in alpha so not turned on by default. Changes to CRI API are backwards compatible
• Risks from cutting enhancement: (partial implementation, critical customer usecase, etc.)
• Windows stats will not work and return an error for PodSandboxStats when turned if enabled by default for Beta
• may need to delay KEP further
