Network Plumbing Working Group Kubecon Meetup

Greetings SIG-Network and Network Plumbing Working Group participants and those who have interest in it!

I'd love to get together to talk about what we've covered so far and what we'll cover in the future! I'd also like to shake everyone's hand to say "Thanks!" for all the effort that everyone has put in this last year.

I've setup a doodle poll -- if we can try to fill it in by this coming Monday (the 10th), I might even be able to get a slot setup for us in (one of a couple) meeting rooms that I have available to book.

1. It claims "All times displayed in America/New_York", but the slots go
from 8am to 7pm... so I assume I'm supposed to pretend that it's Seattle
time, not east coast time?

2. Are we supposed to check boxes for the times when we're busy, or the
times when we're free?

Thanks Dan for asking for the clarifications there.

1. The "America / New York" field is user configurable, so, indeed, change it to for example "America / Los Angeles" (Seattle isn't an option) for the correct timezone.

2. Just click the fields that you're available for to make it easier.

But then it shows the choices as being from 5am to 4pm, which I assume
isn't what you intended...

Ah shoot! I had the default all wrong, thanks for helping me get that fixed. It should now be the more appropriate time range and default to GMT-8 -- I'm an early riser, but, not that early! Thanks Dan.

I responded to the poll, but it was painful to pick times because the choices in the poll do not align with the con schedule.  It was also painful because I could not express degrees of goodness.  For me, Monday is the best day; all the rest has conflicts with sessions in which I have a greater degree of interest.

During the NPWG meeting today, we have decided on Wednesday the 12th from 4pm-5pm at Kubecon local time (UTC-8). Unfortunately a more formal meeting space was unavailable when I went to book it, so we have decided to have it at some available space we'll determine when we're there. We'll use the #sig-network channel in kubernetes.slack.com to communicate on the exact details of where that location is.

We've determined a location! We'll be meeting on the 4th floor, in the spot marked "you are here" on the attached photo of a map (incidentally, with this same map there). There's a number of tables and what not.

If you use the 7th & Pike St entrance, it's at the top of the escalators from that side. It's located near the sky bridge. If you're on the fourth floor already (where the vendor showcase is) proceed to the skybridge and look for the tables there!
