RFC - Proposing WG Mesh

Hello all,

In yesterday's sig-network meeting, a group of stakeholders (including myself) from the service mesh community proposed the formation of a new Working Group under sig-network. This new working group (tentatively named WG Mesh) would be formed for the express purpose of exploring, designing, and contributing to service mesh use-cases within the Gateway API. A draft proposal of the WG can be found here. In the spirit of transparency and open governance, I am making our intentions known via this mailing list, and I will also be proposing this idea on the Gateway API community call on the 27th to allow all members of the community to voice their questions, comments, or concerns. Please feel free to discuss in this thread or at the Gateway API meeting on Monday.

It'd be great to see collaboration with the CNCF Service Mesh WG (https://github.com/cncf/tag-network/tree/master/service-mesh-wg).

I'll offer that we can dramatically alter the standing meeting agenda to accommodate any underlap in this proposal.
